He was 75 years old, a Jesuit for 57 years and a priest for 45 years. A graduate of St. Louis University High School, most of his priestly ministry was in Belize and Honduras. Born March 12, 1948, in St. Louis, to Oscar and Gloria Perl, he was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Terry and James Perl. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Rose, and his brothers in the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits).
