Tim was the beloved son of the late William E. Rice, Jr. and the late Barbara (nee Kern) Rice; loving brother of Gregory (Marsha) Rice and Karen (Bill) Stultz; devoted uncle of Brady Stultz, Ty Stultz, Hailey Rice, Chase Stultz, and Devin Olds; a dear nephew, cousin, and friend.
Tim will be remembered for the deep love he had for his family, his friends, and the community around him. He had a way of making people feel at home, always ready with a laugh, a story, or a helping hand.
He had a passion for classic cars and loved taking them to car shows, where he could share that joy with others. He also found great happiness in his player grand piano—whether he was sitting down to play or simply listening, he could spend hours lost in the music. He also enjoyed spending time with his two cats Sophie and Cecil.
Tim was incredibly smart, with a wisdom that felt far beyond his years but he never took himself too seriously—his sense of humor was just as strong as his mind. What people will remember about him, is his gift for storytelling. He had a way of bringing stories to life so vividly that you felt like you were right there with him. He loved sitting around a table, having a manhattan, eating good food and spending time with family and friends.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
There will be a Memorial Visitation at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street 63109 on Wednesday, April 29 from 10am until 12 noon. A Memorial Service will commence at noon. The Rite of Committal will follow at Friedens Cemetery.
