Virginia A. Steck

Virginia was preceded in death by her dear parents, Edward and Agnes Cummings. Beloved wife of the late Albert F. Steck; loving mother and mother-in-law of Mary Ann Steck, Albert (Michele) Steck, Jean (Denny) Brennan, James (Peggy) Steck, Suzanne (Bryan) King, Thomas (Margie) Steck; cherished grandmother of Alexandra & Matthew Steck, Erin (Bryan) Carlton, Daniel & Joseph Steck, Chrissy (Ben) Zaegel, Katherine & Laura King and Anna, Virginia, Thomas & Allison Steck; special grandmother of the Schulte and Witzel families; great-grandmother of John Zaegel and Adelyn & Evelyn Carlton; dear sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, neighbor and friend to many.

Virginia was a member of the OLS Women's Guild and Quilters, Block Rosary and a former member of Waterloo Country Club. She loved to play cards, knit and attend the Fox, the Muny and Cardinal games. Thanks to all of the wonderful people at the St. Louis Altenheim.

Funeral from Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa at Watson, Monday, October 10, 2016 at 9:30am to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church for a celebration of Mass at 10am. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation at Hoffmeister on Sunday from 3-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Sorrows Endowment Fund.
