

She grew up in Glenwood City, Wisconsin. She attended Glenwood City grade school and high school. Betty played the drums in the high school band and loved music. She especially loved Country music and dancing with her sister Pat. Hector and Betty married on June 4th, 1955. They had four children, Terri, Sharon, Tony and Julie.
Betty was a quiet and loving person and rarely complained. She always liked to be well dressed and have her hair and nails done. She loved spending time with her eight grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and made the best ribs and famous mint bars. She enjoyed gardening and doing crossword puzzles too. Betty found her career job in 1960 working for the State of Minnesota. She retired in 1997 after 37 years of employment as an Accounting Supervisor. Betty had two vices – she especially enjoyed playing the draw poker machines and she had a huge sweet tooth.
Betty will be deeply missed by her husband of 67 years, Hector; children, Terri (Mike) Lauer, Sharon (Steve) Wurst, Tony (Pam) Campbell, and Julie Campbell (Dan Akins); grandchildren, Mike (Leigh Anne) Lauer, Melissa Davis, Patrick Wurst, Jacqueline Wurst (Renato Bauer), Neil (Amanda) Wurst, Catie Campbell (Kyle Skugrud), Mike Conroy, and Chase Conroy (Rhubella Arata); great-grandchildren, Brittany, Ferin, Violette, Anastasia, Penelope, Paige, Annika, Adele, Bella , Axel, and Dominic; sister, Pat DeLong. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Georgina Klinger; brothers, Bob, Peter and John Klinger.
Visitation will begin at 9:30am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am on Friday, December 16, 2022 at St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church, 1757 Conway St., St. Paul. Interment at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Cylon, WI.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Betty’s name to Alzheimer’s Association or St. Pascal Baylon Church.
