Age 83
Gloria was an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her children Doug (Bernie), Sherry Boog (Peter Madrid), Kim Norman, Debby (Butch Oswald), Sandy Arntzen (Larry), 13 grandkids, 14 great grandkids, special bonus daughter Shyrlee, and many other family and friends.
Gloria was a sweet and gentle woman who accepted people as they are and was nonjudgmental. Over the years she fought many health problems with a satisfactory victory never giving up. She would tell her children that she was “healthy as a horse and not going anywhere.” She was famous for saying “well, you live and then you die”. She fought a good fight until the last week of her life, and as her health declined, she told us she was ready to “go”.
Gloria was very proud of the fact that she worked for 30 years for the St. Paul Public School System and loved her job. She retired at the age of 62 and was grateful for the 23 years of life after retirement, spending that with family.
Gloria (Mom), you touched so many lives and will be deeply missed by all who loved you. Your children will always be grateful for your place as our “Mother”. We will love you forever and always. Rest in peace Momma.
A celebration of life for Gloria will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 6:30 PM at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Avenue, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55106. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM.
