 This is a message that I received from Pat Wlaschin McGuire today:  I have a little story I remember from the early days. I remember, when I needed to talk, I would walk into Ken's office and say I need a pep talk. And he would always say what's going on and I would tell him. He would always tell me well, Pat, what does the word say about the situation or that situation. And if I didn't know we would look it up. By the time we were done talking I was feeling so much better. Later I realized that I answered my own questions. LOL I especially remember almost every time that we talked he would say to me, Pat, you have need of endurance. I came to hate that word because I would think you don't understand. As the years have gone by, I truly understand endurance I have learned both endurance and praise. I struggled with that word for a long time. I can laugh about it now. I just want to thank Ken and Ione for helping me grow in the word and through the hard times. They were a true blessing. I pray that the Lord would comfort the family and carry on with what Ken has put in each of us. May the Lord bless and comfort each and everyone of you.

Pat's story reminded that I can still see Ken sitting on a desk with his hands tucked under his legs in our First John class.  He said that he did that to remind himself not to give us the answer but to let us think it through for ourselves. He was such a good teacher!




Just noticed the  Homegoing of a wonderful and loving Pastor. Always enjoyed the fellowship with Pastor Ken and the times we had when coming back to the states from Germany to minister. Ken you had a wonderful laugh. You loved God with all your heart. You loved to minister the word of God.  Never forget the time my plane was late and you picked me up at the airport and we went straight to the pulpit... Was an adventure but we made it. I know that you are enjoying yourself at your New Home of Heaven. See you later!!!
