Lorraine Pearl Hosley

Lorraine was born in St. Paul, MN, on May 15, 1937 to Nicholas and Mildred (nee Warfield) Vignalo, the second of three girls. On June 24, 1957 Lori married Patrick Hosley in St. Paul, where they made their home and had five children.

Lori possessed a remarkable spirit of generosity, extending her love, time, and resources to those around her with utmost kindness and compassion. She was an active member of the community, serving as a Volunteer for Ramsey Action Program (RAP), and volunteering and serving on the board of directors at Helping Hand Health Center for 2 decades. Her commitment to nurturing the next generation extended through her role as a devoted food service worker for over 30 years in the St. Paul Public School System, was Head of the PTA for 10 years, served as Campaign manager for Ruby Hunt, and was a Sunday School Teacher at St. Stanislaus Church.

She was an avid sports fan, showing unwavering support for both professional sports and the athletic endeavors of her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick; parents; and sister Mildred Schneider.

Lori will be lovingly remembered by her children: Patricia, Steven (Pamyla), James (Linda), Daniel (Maria), Colleen (Vince) Belmares. She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Dane, Orion (Caitlyn), Trevyn, Jacob (Erin), Clayton, Sydney, & Quinten Hosley, Vinny, Nick, & Gabby Belmares; and great grandchildren Judah, Abel, Arianna, and Jameson; step grandchildren Danny (Nicole) Westman and Carrie Westman; step great-grandchildren Jayze Busche, Chase, Hunter, Addison, & Collin Westman; as well as step-great-great-grandchild Jax. She is survived by her sister, Janice (Bill) Cirhan, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass for Lorraine will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Stanislaus' Church, 398 West Superior Street, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55102, with a visitation one hour prior, starting at 10:00 am.

Interment at Hannibal Cemetery in Hannibal, WI, will be at 12 noon on Friday, June 9, 2023.
