

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard J. “Barney” and May Lucille (Blackwood) Breen; husband, Lyle Glenn Scribner; siblings, Patrick, Bernard “Bud”, Barbara and Daniel; grandson, Benjamin Lyle Frantzen. Lorraine will be deeply missed by her children, Nora (Joe Zywiec) Scribner, Stephen (Barbara) Scribner, Linda (Ron) Traen and Paul (Bonnie) Scribner; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Lorraine graduated high school from St. Joseph’s Academy in St. Paul and then attended business school. She married the love of her life, Lyle, in 1949. Lorraine dedicated her life to family as wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma.
Lorraine worked as a secretary for St. Paul School District for 20 years. She was active in St. Joe’s Academy Alumni group. She enjoyed card clubs, hiking, snowmobiling, traveling, volleyball and was an avid reader. She loved to play the piano and played by ear. Lorraine was a committed member of Transfiguration Church (Oakdale) for many years.
The family wishes to thank Cerenity of Mounds Park and White Bear Lake for helping and caring for Lorraine in her later years. Special thanks to Lori, Chris, Jeff, Sue Ellen, and Fr. Mike. Also thank you to St. John’s Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion. Special thanks to the ER doctors, nurses, and hospice nurse, Kelly.
Private service will be held with immediate family only. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made in Lorraine’s name to Cerenity Senior Care Center White Bear Lake.
