Violet Ellen Hertog

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, parents, Leopold & Jennie, & 3 sisters: Jennie, Dorthy, & Leona. Survived by six children: John, Judy, Linda, Susan, Pamela, & Nancy, 17 grandchildren, & 22 great-grandchildren.

Violet was a devoted wife and a wonderful & caring mother. She lived in MN, ND, WA, TX, and AZ. She was a member of PEO in AZ & MN. Music was a large part of her life, singing in church choirs & the Chordaires in Sun Lakes, AZ. She volunteered at food pantries and Meals on Wheels wherever she lived. At Thanksgiving, she always found places to honor the women who brought her family food when they were in need. She loved to play Mahjong and card games: Skip Bo, Cribbage, & Bridge.

A celebration of life will be held on Wed. Jan. 21 at Path of Grace UMC (759 E Co. Rd. B, Maplewood). Visitation at 10am & Service at 11am.
