William John Day

Bill was born March 2, 1958 in Minneapolis, MN and graduated with the class of 1976 at West High School. He graduated with the class of 1984 at Normandale Community College. Bill was an avid military man who honorably served in the US Army, Air Force and National Guard. He received a lifetime service award for his many years of commitment. He was an active member of the VFW and beloved by many in his community. Bill was also an enthusiastic hunter and outdoorsman who loved to travel. He was an animated storyteller and jokester whose presence could dominate and captivate a room.

He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Oscar Day; mother, Theresa Ann Day; and brother, Warren (Dan) Oscar Day.

He is survived by his sister, Marie Antoinette Beard; his son, Joshua Allen Day; his daughter, Rebecca Marie Day; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Memorial services will be held this coming spring including full military honors at Camp Ripley in Little Falls, MN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family, who invite you to stop by Bill’s home on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 2:00pm - 7:00pm to tell a story, share a picture or enjoy a game of cribbage.
