I was so sorry to hear that your passage.  You were an incredible influence on my life and someone I looked up to in High School as an upper class member and mentor.  You not only cheered our team you cheered our spirits with your excellent advice and focus on what was important.  So sad that we lost touch as years passed and we were busy raising our children.  You will never be forgotten.

It's been over one year now. I miss you as much now as one year ago. It comforts me to know you are in God's loving arms, talking, telling memories and laughing. 

I have known 1000's of people in my life...literally. However, there is only 1 Alice. Today as I look at her memorial my heart is heavy and my mind is confused. Although I have lived many states apart for quite sometime, I've always felt a special connection. One that is different than any other friendship. I am extremely sad and grieved. But I rejoice! These feelings are with me because it only is a reflection of what she meant in my life and that I shared a unique friendship with her. I remember my first day of nursing school at Gordon Keller, Alice caught my eye out of all the new students. She was not only beautiful but had such an ease and confidence about her. Being an older, married student I felt a little bit intimidated by those fresh young faces. But I soon became one of them, accepted as "Mrs. P". We both worked for awhile at TGH and then I went into a private office.  I would still see Alice from time to time at Dr. Carlton's office and she always looked and remained the same; warm, friendly, capable and non pretentious. My husband and I were sad but happy for them when they retired to enjoy the life they had earned. Alas, it was cut too short. My condolences to Leffie and all the family. She will not be forgotten.

My heartfelt condolences to the Palevedas, who I grew up with on Corona Street.  Alice was my first and oldest friend and who I shared my childhood with -- from grade school and even our weddings.   I feel so fortunate to have reconnected with her a few years ago, just before her first grandchild was to be born.  She was so proud of her family and an amazing person and friend.

"We are all travelers in the wilderness of the world, and the best that we can hope to find in our travels is an honest and caring friend".

Alice always had a smile for everyone and never seemed to meet a stranger. She had something kind to say about everyone. I only knew her casually, but when we would cross paths,   she would greet me like a long lost friend and could always brighten your day with her smile. . 
My thoughts and prayers to her family, her husband and children and her sisters. I know she will be missed, but she will be long remembered.

It was such a joy meeting someone with my first and middle names and then realizing we had so much in common namely a love for football. We had such fun at the FSU games and seeing the Flying High circus. I know you'll be rooting on the Noles and Bucaneers from heaven. So many wonderful memories with Alice and Leffie especilly flying to all sorts of places. We will miss your generous and fun loving spirit. It will live on in your children and grandchildren.

I was a young neighbor of Alice and Leffie's on Fairoaks Ave. when they moved in. She was very sweet and inviting the minute my family met her and her family. I babysat both of the girls and loved every minute of it. I idefinitely looked up to Alice and loved absolutely everything about her.  I loved when she called me over to bake, especially Nestle tollhouse cookies. She was beautiful, sweet, kind, loving and I will always remember that about her. Even if it was  just Alice and I  we always had a nice time.  My prayers go out to her and her wonderful entire family. I know she will be deeply missed.

Alice was a dear friend during our days at GKSN...will always remember ker kind words regardless of the moment, her ever so present smile, the "Afrin" garland surrounding the closet door, sharing the bathroom with her and four others as we were "suite mates".... Then as she shared in our wedding as one of our bridesmaid....after GKSN she began her career at TGH, I at SJH and there was Mrs P..knowing her , I quickly learned from whence Alice's kindness originated...At this time of sadness , may the family realize the true and forever impact Alice had on the lives of many...Shine from above my friend ....Debbie

My "suite mate" at GKSN, my friend, one of my bridesmaids...will always remember her sweet smile, loving heart, her caring for others, the Afrin bottle garland in the dorm ..the long talks about life....after graduation she went to TGH, I went to SJH...and the Palaveda love continued with her dear Mom, as one of our supervisors. despite the eventual distance (moved out of town) she has always had a special place in my heart. I have known Alice since 1st grade at CKS and I am so very sorry that we have all lost such a wonderful, kind wife, mother, daughter, sister, & friend.

I am so glad now that six of us from the early years reconnected.  We had so much fun at our mini-CKS girls' reunion at Isle of Palms Beach in SC a few years ago... and then again when she & I  explored Den's Honeyoye Falls later on.  

My thoughts and prayers go out to Alice's family.

Alice is a neighbor & I would speak with her when walking my dog & she was gardening. I have missed seeing her. She was a beautiful & very special person. I knew this even from a distance. May she rest in peace.

Alice and I worked together years ago at Tampa General Hospital.  She was my mentor, and I could not have asked for a more professional or caring nurse, friend, and guide.

I remember when my cousin Alice use to baby sit me and my siblings. She was always so nice and sweet. I remember her dancing in recitals that Aunt Ethel put on. What a Beautiful Person inside and out. Jesus has another Angel dancing in Heaven.

I am honored and blessed to have known Alice. Meeting in 4th grade, reconnecting many years after we 'grew up', I am thankful for the memories that I will always hold as special.  I have missed our lunches the last few years and will always remember the fun time at the CKS girls reunion in NC (slumber party with wine!).

How proud she was of you, Lindsay and Stacey!  You were very loved. 

She was truly a blessing in my life and I will miss her.  My condolences to those who love her.

My sweet, dear friend. Since we were five years old! Whew! It doesn't seem that long ago that we were walking to each other's homes and spending the night together. The last time I saw you, you kissed me good bye. I didn't know you meant forever.  Always an inspiration. Someone who always cheered others on. A nurse among all of us nurses. Loved by all. So many talents, evidenced in her beautiful children and her home that says "Alice and my family".  You already live on thru your girls, grandson, soon to be born grandchild and future grandchildren. Years and generations from now, the Alice stories will be told and live on. Caregiver to her family and friends, but especially to her beloved Leffie, the love of her life, who cared for her with all of his love and energy, right to the end. Alice, you fought a courageous battle, that no one could ever match. I'd never be as far as I am, if you hadn't dragged me by the seat of my pants and gotten me there. You loved those near you, and we loved you back. We shared our favorite color of red, pregnant bellies, the number of twelve, ballet, washing our hair with Prell shampoo then diving off the floating dock to rinse it, water skiing on January 1st, friends, secrets and promises. That last promise to you, I'll fulfill for as long as I can. You made the best mashed potatoes! There is so much left to say about you, Alice,  just as you had so much left to say, but couldn't. I'll always laugh about our carefully cooked-up plans to go to rehab together! I'll miss our reunions, trips, lunches and especially our midnight texting. Most of all, it is you that I miss, my dear, sweet friend.
