Antonia Natividad “Nati” Reina Guzman, age 83, Antonia died peacefully in her home, Tampa, Florida, on Sunday, July 22, 2018. A woman of many talents and professions; dressmaker, seamstress, singer and dancer; however, her best and most favorite was homemaker, a wife to her husband and mother to five children.
Nati was born in a mountain town of Jaca, Spain, on December 25, 1934 to Emilio Reina and Luisa
Gonzalez. After attending Academy of the Arts and a short career singing and dancing, she met and
married Julio Guzman-Viera, a U.S. Airman stationed at Zaragoza Air Force Base, Spain. They were
Married February 22, 1959. She supported her husband in the many duty stations he served around the
world in the U.S. Air Force until they retired here in Tampa, Florida, in 1979.
She is survived by her children; her sons, Julio Guzman and Emilio E. Guzman; her daughters, Elizabeth L.
Messineo, Luisa E. Mayer, and Maria Raquel Elliot; her sons-in-law Raul Quesada, Mark Mayer, and
Aalan Elliot; her twelve grandchildren, Emilio M. Guzman, Antonia L. Guzman, Daniel R. Mayer, Evan M.
Mayer, Garrett P. Messineo and his father Mark A. Messineo, Rosie Mayer, Christian M. Mayer, Mateo J.
Elliot, Ava N. Mayer, Micah E. Elliot, Mark A. Mayer, and Miguel A. Elliot. She is also survived by her younger brother, Emilio Reina González, his wife Esperanza López Gutiérrez and their children, Esperanza, Emilio and Begoña; her younger sister, Mariana Reina González, her husband, Juan Jose De Pablo and their children, Juan Jose, Luisa and Veronica.
A memorial will be held at Grace Family Church, 4479 W. Gandy Blvd, Tampa, FL on Saturday, August 4th 2018 at 11:00am. Antonia will be privately laid to rest at Bay Pines National Cemetery with her late husband on Friday, August 10, 2018... Together Again for Eternity.
