His departure leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Born in Syracuse, New York, Armond lived a life marked by service, adventure, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. He proudly served in the United States Army and later held the esteemed role of Post Commander at American Legion Post 152 for two terms, embodying the values of honor and community.
Armond was a loving father to his daughter, Renee Gerada, and a cherished grandfather to Jake, Jesse, Michaela, Tyler, and Hailey. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Sylas and Rowan. He is also survived by his siblings Lester, Daniel, Allen, Patricia Shatraw, Linda Peters, and Leslie LaFramboise.
He now reunites with his beloved wife of 47 years, Martha LaFramboise, and their son, Justin LaFramboise. Armond was also preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and June LaFramboise, and siblings Harvey Jr., Gloria Beeles, and Rose Farley.
Armond’s life was rich with friendships and passions. He found joy in scuba diving, traveling the world, and playing WPT poker. He was proud to have earned a Bronze medal at the World Masters Games in 1994 and claimed numerous First Place titles in Track and Field events. Whether cruising with friends, sharing laughs with neighbors, or working alongside colleagues at the State of Florida, Armond brought warmth, humor, and integrity to every relationship.
He shared countless adventures with his dear companion, Jeri Hoover, whose love and partnership brought him great happiness in his later years.
Above all, Armond loved his family fiercely and lived by a simple motto that he passed on to everyone lucky enough to know him: “Don’t sweat the small stuff.” It was his way of reminding us to laugh more, worry less, and enjoy the ride — preferably with a poker chip in one hand and a scuba tank nearby.
