Blanca was born in El Salvador where she attended school until she moved to San Francisco, California. She then joined the Job Corp as a way to explore the different possibilities in a new country. She became a mom for the first time and dedicated the next few years to her family as a homemaker. This gave her the opportunity to frequently volunteer at her children’s school with class activities, fundraisers, and special school events. The family relocated to Tampa, Florida and her children grew a bit older so she decided to rejoin the workforce as a housekeeper for the Home Shopping Network and later on for Nordstrom. With three adult children now living their own lives, Blanca, her husband Oscar and their youngest daughter Tania relocated to Houston, Texas. Once in Texas, Blanca realized how much she missed her children when they were younger so decided to help families out by becoming a nanny. For the later part of her life, Blanca dedicated her time to two families whose children she grew to love as her own and they grew to love her just as much.
Family time was what Blanca enjoyed the most. Spending time with her kids and grandkids filled her heart with joy. Living in Florida, frequent trips to the beach were one of her favorite activities. If she was not working the grill, you could find her relaxing on the hammock. Whether it is a road trip from Houston to Tampa or a fight to El Salvador, traveling was one of her favorite pastimes. Cooking was also one of her passions. Not only did she love food, but also she got much joy in seeing others enjoy her cooking. Blanca enjoyed a good party, and you most definitely find her on the dance floor. Blanca was a devoted Christian and belonged to Emmanuel Baptist church in Houston Texas. Her laughter was contagious, and her smile brightens up a room.
Blanca joins her mother Angela Pineda in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, Oscar Godoy; her children Liliana Godoy, Armando Godoy, Oscar Godoy, and Tania Godoy; Her grandchildren, Christian Bradford, Aracely Godoy, Analyse Godoy, Nayeli Godoy, Oscar Godoy, Xavier Godoy, and Silas Lopez Jr; Her sisters, Ana Maruri and Daisy Pineda; her brother Juan Pineda; and many nieces and nephews.
