Blanche Marie Hodge

Blanche Marie (Muff) Hodge, 74, of Tampa passed away suddenly Friday, December 21st at her home. Blanche was born in Baton Rouge, LA but Tampa Bay was her home for many years. She studied at The Academy of Holy Names and later Spring Hill College in Alabama. Blanche impacted many lives as a teacher and later in her work at the Hillsborough County Sheriffs Department. She was preceded in death by her parents Dr. James B. Hodge Jr., Blanche (Bebe) Hanlon Hodge and her sister, Katie Hodge. She is survived by her siblings: Pete and Cathy, T.J. and Jeannine, Joe and Eryn and her loved children: Blanche and Jose, Raquel and Ruy, Jorge and Jimmy, her beloved grandchildren: Laura, R.J., Jorge I., Bibi, Nicolas and Julia, nieces and nephews and cousins and lifelong friends. Join family and loved ones on Saturday, December 29th at 10am to celebrate her life at Christ the King Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, family wishes donations be made to the Hillsborough County Public Library.
