

Charles Allan Martin (known to many as Charlie or Chuck), 65, was born and raised in Pompano Beach, Florida. He went to be with the Lord on November 15, 2025. He graduated from Pompano Beach High School with the Class of 1978 and completed his undergraduate degree at Florida State University and his master’s degree at the University of Tampa.
After college, Charlie began his career with TECO and held various Operations and Human Resources roles for more than 30 years. He recently retired from the City of Lakeland in September 2025 after 10 years of service in Human Resources.
Charlie was an avid sports fan religiously following Florida State (Go Noles), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Rays. He could answer any sports trivia question and could rarely be stumped. In addition to following college and professional sports, he proudly followed his son and daughter through all of their athletic achievements. Charlie also dedicated 10 years of volunteer service to Palma Ceia Little League on the Board of Directors and was a strong advocate for both baseball and softball.
Charlie treasured his time with his family and is survived by his wife, Robyn, his son Lantz and wife Briana, his daughter Blair and husband Christopher, and cherished granddaughter Peyton. He is also survived by his brother Bill and wife Margie, his brother Ken and wife Chris, his mother-in-law, Mary Lou Bondi, and brother-in-law Robbie and wife Tracy.
Charlie is also survived by many close family members to include Aunt Doris, Aunt Peggy, Aunt Patsy and several nieces and nephews Jennifer, Lindsey, Lauren, Katie, Reeves, and Paisley.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Vivian Martin, and father-in-law Bob Bondi.

Services for Charlie will be on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Blount & Curry Life Event Center - MacDill, 605 S. MacDill Ave, Tampa. Family and friends are invited to gather together from 12-1pm with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 1pm. The family invites you to stay and join them for a catered reception after the service from 2-4pm.
