Clara Rosquete Ramirez

Ramirez, Clara R., 80, passed away September 8, 2015. A native of Camagüey, Cuba, she was a resident of Tampa since 1954. After raising four children, she obtained her degree in nursing and became a registered nurse. She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Home Health Care in Tampa. Clara was an active parishioner throughout her life at both Christ The King Catholic Church and Nativity Catholic Church. “Clarita” is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Jorge E. Ramirez; children Clara Alfonso (Robert), Jorge L. Ramirez (Christina), Danny Ramirez (Julie) and Lourdes R. DeCarlo (Jim); grandchildren Robbie, Daniel, and Gabriella Alfonso; Ronnie and Julianne Ramirez; Isabella, Max and Marisa Ramirez; Dominic, Vincent and Lorenzo DeCarlo. We will remember Clarita for her strong devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ, her love for her family, and her dedication to Mary the Blessed Mother. Visitation will be held Monday September 14, 2015 from 4-8pm with a prayer service at 6:30pm, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave, Tampa. A Catholic funeral mass will take place at 2:30pm on Tuesday September 15, 2015 at Christ The King Catholic Church, 821 S. Dale Mabry Hwy, with burial immediately following at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Foundation, Tampa.
