

92, left this world to be with our Lord on March 9, 2013. He resided in the Tampa area over 40 years. He was born March 31, 1920 in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, a son of John S. Brooks and Alice Miller Brooks. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces, 334th Air Base Squadron during WWII. He was an alumnus of the University of Findlay in Ohio. Following his employment with the Federal and District of Columbia governments, he retired and set up residency in Tampa. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 446 in Pennsylvania. He was also a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tampa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, and six sisters. He is survived by one sister, one aunt, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great great nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many wonderful and caring friends in Tampa and across the country. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Gonzalez Funeral Home of Tampa, Florida. A mass in his memory will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4518 South Manhattan Avenue, Tampa Wed., Mar.27th 2013 at 10am. Private interment will be held at a National Cemetery in Florida at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4518 South Manhattan Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33611-2306, or to the University of Findlay, Attention: Alumni Office, 1000 North Main Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840.
