Together, they moved to Cleveland, Saul’s hometown, to start their family and later relocated to Tampa, embracing new adventures and opportunities.
Diane’s entrance into the airline industry was as unique as it was memorable. She crafted a jingle that caught the attention of National Airlines executives. Impressed, they played it for the entire office and offered her a job, opening the door to her lifelong career. During her time as a flight attendant and reservation agent, Diane touched the lives of countless individuals through her work. She approached every customer with the warmth and care of a good friend, creating memorable and lasting impressions.
Her nearly 54-year marriage to Saul Litvak is a testament to their shared love and adventures, beginning with an engagement after just one date. This story of instant connection and enduring companionship mirrors the way Diane lived her life—with openness, love, and an unwaveringly positive spirit.
Diane's love for travel took her around the world, allowing her to gather stories and experiences that she eagerly shared, enriching the lives of others. She extended her passion for cultural understanding into volunteering, teaching children about the diverse beauty of our world. Diane believed in the power of education and the importance of fostering a global perspective from a young age.
Preceded in death by her brother, Bill Rushton, Diane's memory is cherished by her devoted husband Saul, her son Ryan, daughter-in-law Gia, grandsons Sam and Mason, and brothers Bob, Scott, and Bruce Rushton. Her life was further brightened by the enduring friendship and support from her Northwest Airlines family and a close circle of friends.
