Ekaterina Scagnelli

With unbearable pain and hearts filled with the deepest sorrow, Ekaterina (Katya) Scagnelli passed away on August 19th at her home in Tampa Florida. Her sudden and untimely passing has left us all in shock, struggling to accept a reality without her presence.

Katya was the kind of person whose warmth, kindness, and laughter touched everyone around her. She had the rare gift of making people feel seen, loved, and understood, and her presence brought comfort and joy wherever she went. She was an amazing wife and mother and while she will be deeply missed by her family they will also be comforted by the memories of time spent together. Her other gift to the world was photography, which has touched dozens in making memories of their own that will live on forever.

Katya leaves behind her loving husband, her two beautiful daughters, and her devoted sister. She is deeply mourned by her parents, grandparents, parents-in-law, and brother-in-law, whose hearts are broken by this devastating loss.

There will be a celebration of her life at the between 12:00pm – 3:00pm on August 30th at the Russian American Club, located at 2920 Beach Blvd S, Gulfport FL 33707

Katya’s absence will be felt forever, but so will her light. She will live on in our hearts in the love she gave and in the lives that she touched so deeply. May we carry her spirit with us always and continue to celebrate the beauty of who she was and the love she shared with the world.
