Eliza Laxton

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Eliza on August 16, 2023, in Tampa, Florida. She was born on September 10, 1958, in Angeles City, Philippines, to Juan Maglalang and Modesta David Maglalang.

Eliza spent much of her life working in the hospitality industry, whether in a food and beverage location, environmental services in a hospital setting, or housekeeper, showing that same hospitality to her family and friends with a love for cooking food and entertaining. She also loved fishing and crabbing, amongst other things.

Eliza is survived by her brother, Rustico Maglalang, her two sons, Noel Maglalang and Michael Laxton, and numerous other nephews, nieces, and other extended family whose lives she has touched.

A celebration of life for Eliza will be held Friday, September 1, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609. Please wear white and/or royal blue if you plan to attend the ceremony. It would be greatly appreciated.
