Evelio Alfonso

Evelio entered the US Air Force in 1949 as he earned many medals during the time of his service. He then continued in active duty during the war of Vietnam as an Aircraft Electrical Repairman. Evelio was proud to serve his Country in the US Air Force and served 24 years in the military when he then retired from the Air Force as a technical Sergeant with an Honorable Discharge in 1973.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, as well as his six brothers and sisters Anastasia, Guillermo, Marta, Isabel, Clara, and Rosendo Jr., and granddaughter, Diana.

Evelio was survived by his Wife, Gloria; his two sons, Elliott and Carlos; his two daughters, Bruny and Esther; his five grandchildren, Javier, Elio, Seth, Eddy and Selvin; his great-grandchildren, David, Veronica and Sara.

A Visitation will be held on February 12, 2021 at 12:30 pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL. Funeral Service will be held on February 12, 2021 at 1:15 pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL. The Committal Service with the Air Force Honor Guard rendering military funeral honors will begin at 3:00 pm at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 N US 301 Highway, Thonotosassa, FL.
