I don't have a photo with her, but Mrs. Zamore was my 4th grade teacher at Tinker Elementary School in 1958. She is the only one of my elementary teachers whose name I remember, so she made a great impression on me! I, too, became a teacher and have been retired for 14 years after a 40-year teaching career. Sorry to see that she has passed away. My condolences.

On April 2, 2022 I enjoyed a wonderful day visiting Mits and Fannie at their home. They have been such very special people in my life for the past 53 years. And I am eternally grateful! Rhonda--thank you for sharing your incredible parents with me!

My name is Linda Petrakis and I grew up in Tampa. When I was 8--I was in "The Princess And The Pea" at the Tampa Children's Theater with Rhonda Zamore. Fortunately I lived close to the Zamores and "Miss Fannie" drove Rhonda and me to rehearsals. Thus started my 53 years of friendship with the Zamore family! 
      "Miss Fannie" as I called Fannie-- called me Miss Linda. Even until the last time I spoke with her. Rhonda and I became fast friends. I enjoyed many holidays, sleepovers,  and Disney World vacations with the Zamores. They included me at their Passover table and taught me the significance of this sacred holiday. We celebrated New Year's Eve at Berns, Thanksgiving at Aunt Ruthie's and Uncle Simon's, and lit fireworks on the 4th of July! 
        Miss Fannie made me feel so very loved and appreciated. She always smiled and was genuinely interested in what was going on in my life. Her constant super positive attitude and spirit encouraged me to have the same. This happy picture was taken on April 2, 2022 when I took Wright's Gourmet lunch to Miss Fannie and Mr. Mits. Like always--Miss Fannie glowed that day!  
       How very fortunate am I to have such happy childhood memories--thanks to the Zamore family. Thank you Miss Fannie for giving me so much love, joy, and encouragement. When I think of you I forever smile! You are in my heart always! Love, Miss Linda

I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Fannie, Mits and Rhonda the last few years. Fannie always had wonderfully vibrant historical memories to share. She was enthusiastic and joyful when speaking of her former students and life with her 2 beautiful daughters. She was a delight with an infectious smile. She will be sorely missed. Thinking of her and hoping the beautiful memories of her will be of comfort to all of her many loved ones.
