Fernando Monroy Barrios Sr. was born on November 17, 1931. He married Edith Vergara on April 26, 1960 in Bogota, Colombia. He worked as an accountant for a number of companies including Avianca, Lloyds Aviation, Reynolds Aluminum, Port Authority of New York, and his own tax practice where he helped countless people utilizing his skills as a CPA. He worked tirelessly for over 40 years, setting a strong example of disciplined work ethic for his children and all he came in contact with. He enjoyed camping with family, a passion for music, and for all foods. He was always the life of the party where it was impossible to walk away from him without a good laugh and a smile on your face.
Fernando Monroy Barrios Sr.. is survived by his spouse Edith Vergara Monroy, three children Fernando Monroy Jr., Maria Monroy, and David Monroy, also survived by his three grandchildren Fernando Monroy III, Tatianna Monroy, and Myles Monroy.
