Franklin was a man for all seasons. Born in Suacha, Colombia, but grew up in New York, where he fell in love with music at an early age.
Franklin was a fighter at heart and also tried amateur boxing in his youth. However, his love for music was so strong that he started spinning records in the streets of New York with just a turntable and a guitar amp as a speaker. From these humble beginnings, Franklin went on to D.J. at Greenwich Village in New York and was about to blow up when the family moved to Florida, where Franklin went on to play for some of the best banks in the world, the likes of which were: Citibank, Barnett Bank, The Harbour Island Athletic Club, and Bank of America.
Franklin was an entrepreneur and an entertainer. He made so many people happy!! His love for music was a gift from God and now he is in God's presence making melody for the Lord.
His parents Carlton and Margarita May already went home to the Lord. Franklin is survived by his wife Esther May and his siblings Jairo May, Jessica Muñiz, Carlton May, Jaime May, Viveca Torres, Dennis May and Eduardo May. Franklin is also survived by his only daughter Yolanda Jones, son-in-law Levar Folk, grandchildren Marquiese Cornelius, Carter Folk, Colby Folk, great grandchildren Melody and Aminah Cornelius.
