

Fredrick Earl Phillips aged 90, of Tampa Florida. Formerly of Queens New York and Cave Hill St. Lucy Barbados, West Indies. Peacefully entered into rest on December 21, 2024. Earl’s early career started in Barbados as a teacher. He went on to work in Barbados Highway and Transport, and the Barbados Treasury. After immigrating to the United States, Earl worked and retired from Merrill Lynch. Earl’s favorite sport was cricket, which he played while in Barbados and in the United States. He was a fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. Earl enjoyed traveling, often visiting his sisters, family, and friends in England. He fondly recalled his travels France, and Holland.
Earl was the son of the late Rawlins and Sylvia Phillips, Husband of Esther Phillips (née Russell), Father of Jon Phillips, Bruce Phillips (deceased), Allison Phillips, Joanne Leslie (deceased) Grandfather of Renne Leslie-Sandiford, Ryan Leslie (deceased) Great-Grandfather of Jayden Leslie Brother of Mary Tanner, Marlene Jordan, Anthony Woodall, Ruby Philo (deceased), Vivian McIntosh (deceased), Anthony Broome (deceased) Uncle of Patricia Robinson, Janice Robinson, Rosalind Yearwood, Pascin Philo, Isadore Philo, Theodore Philo, Arlette (deceased), Vernett McIntosh (deceased) Earl was blessed with many great nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.
