87, of Tampa, FL, passed away on Sunday, December 7th at his home. Born in Uniontown, PA, he moved to Florida in 1936. After serving with the U.S. Army in the Korean War, George returned home where he worked with the Civil Service at MacDill Air Force Base for nearly 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and volunteering at his church. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pearl Evans; daughter, Joyce Prather; grandson, Frankie (Ashleigh) Prather; brother-in-law, Howard (Jan) Davis; nephews, Steve and Mark (Sue) Davis, and Bob (Milda) and David (Janie) Collins. A Memorial Service will take place at Manhattan Avenue United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 13th at 11am.
