James (Jim) Joseph DesRosiers, 61, of Tampa, FL passed away on January 10, 2020 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Denise DesRosiers and children Michael DesRosiers, Alexander DesRosiers and Mary DesRosiers, his brother Steve DesRosiers (Wanda DesRosiers) of Atlanta, and sister Lisa James (Tim James) of Lexington, his nephew and many loving nieces, cousins and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Bette DesRosiers of Lexington.
A lover of education and science he graduated from the University of Kentucky and the University of South Florida, earning undergraduate and graduate degrees in electrical engineering, and worked in the field of telecommunications until he later worked and owned a business in medical transcription and records. He was a dedicated husband, father, son, brother and uncle, who adored his family and always offered his love and support genuinely and unconditionally. A man of strong faith, positivity, strength and kindness, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday January 16th, 2020, at Christ The King Catholic Church at 821 S. Dale Mabry Hwy. Tampa, FL 33609. Visitation at 1pm and mass at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa (moffitt.org).
