

Wurdeman, Jean Anne 59, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2016 in her home after an aggressive battle with lung cancer. She was born in Celje, Slovenia and adopted with her twin brother at age 4 by Edward and Delores Kessner of Port Washington, Wisconsin. After high school, she spent 3 years in the Army before receiving her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from California University of Pennsylvania while working full time at the Volkswagen assembly plant. She moved to Tampa in 1984 and continued to call it home for the rest of her life. She devoted her life to those she loved and causes she cared about. She did her best to apply her lessons that she learned through life and her faith in God in everything that she did. She was predeceased by her father, Edward Kessner and her mother, Delores Kessner. She is survived by her daughter, Brittany Wurdeman, of Charlotte, NC, her devoted husband, Jim Wurdeman, her twin brother, Alan Kessner, stepsons Patrick (Mariruth) Wurdeman, of Pittsburgh, PA, and Matthew (Valerie) Wurdeman, of Jacksonville, Florida. She was Gigi to Caitlin, Robbie, William, Alex and Catie. Services will include a visitation Wednesday 3/16 from 5-7 at Blount & Curry - MacDill Avenue Chapel (605 S MacDill Avenue, Tampa, Fl 33609) and a funeral with reception following on Thursday 3/17 at 11 am at Hyde Park United Methodist Church (500 W Platt Street, Tampa, Fl 33606).
