Josefina Rivero

Josefina Rivero, 91, passed away Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 in Tampa, Fla. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was born in Andorra, Cuba and came to the United States with her family in 1967. A resident of Tampa since 1967, she worked for the Hillsborough County School System for many years and retired from there in 1992. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Manuel A. Rivero. She is survived by her two sons, Manuel Rivero and his wife, Margo; and Oswaldo Rivero and his wife Jill; Jill’s daughter Stephanie Berk, her husband Matthew and daughters MacKenzie and Quinn; grandsons, Manuel E. Rivero and his wife Brittany; and Conor Rivero; great grandson, Cruz Rivero; sister, Maria Antonia Bellon of Cuba; nieces, Teresa Rivero Baez of Tampa, Barbara Calvino of Miami, and Idania Lara Bellon of Cuba; nephews, Marcos Bieyto, Ihosvany Lara, Eusebio Bellon and Leonel Bellon all of Cuba.

The family will receive friends from 11:30am-12pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 N Dale Mabry Hwy. on Sunday, January 14th. The funeral service will begin at 12:00pm. Interment will follow immediately after at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610..
