Joseph Edmond Lamarre

He was born October 25, 1933 to Amizda Cazeau and Jonathas Lamarre in Port Salut, Haiti. He completed his primary schooling at Maeabe Primary School and his secondary schooling at Lycée Des Cayes. Joseph worked several successful years for the Malaria Control Program (this was a program dedicated to the elimination of malaria in Haiti during the sixties and seventies). Later, Joseph pursued a career with the Department of Commerce as accountant who managed market prices. He also used his prior experience, knowledge, and wisdom to educate not only his own children, but anybody who wanted to pursue a path to higher education. He was also renowned for his love and respect of nature.

Joseph went on to be with the Lord on November 16, 2022. He is now at peace besides his wife, Sephora Fatal Lamarre, who passed away in May 2018. Joseph leaves his cherished memory with his children, Marie Francoise Lamarre, Marc Antoine Lamarre who is married to Rose Louis, Marie Edeline Lamarre who is married to Leslie Jean, and Joseph “Johnny” Lamarre who is married to Manite Cadet. He also leaves behind his five beautiful grandchildren, Tamara, Amanda, Valerie, Samantha, and Jeremy. He was survived by his siblings, Joseph Lamarre and family, Marie Rose Lamy and family, Anne Marie Lamarre and family, Philomene Lamarre and family, Julienne Lamarre and family, Remice Lamarre and family. He joins his other siblings in spirit, Nicolas Lamarre, Marie Ann Balan, Julie Lamarre, Carida Lamarre, Celie Lamarre, Ossita Lamarre, Elmita Lamarre, Josephat Lamarre, Ti Da Lamarre, and Payet Viau Lamarre. His remembrance is forever held dear by many family members and friends.

A visitation for Joseph will be held Monday, December 5, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL 33614. A final viewing will occur Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 7209 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL 33614. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Incarnation Catholic Church, 5124 Gateway Dr,, Tampa, FL 33615. A committal service will occur Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Garden Of Memories, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610.
