

99, was peacefully taken to heaven on Saturday morning, December 13, 2014 with her beloved daughters at her side as she joined those whom she has missed for so many years, her beloved husband and her mama and daddy. A proud native of Ybor City, she was born on Dec. 8, 1915. She was the daughter of Ignazio and Concetta Cimo. She married and moved to IL in 1939 where she remained until her beloved husband of only 15 years passed away. She moved back to Tampa in 1957 to raise her two daughters with the help and support of her beloved family. She was a woman of very simple needs and means with a strong faith and work ethic who led by example. She loved to cook, sew and her baked goods were always in great demand. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends. She was known for her giving, generosity, sweet and loving spirit. Josephine worked until her 80’s retiring at the age of 82. We say goodbye to a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and the best friend a person could have. She is survived by her daughter, Marie Ferrante, her daughter Rosemary and husband Larry Waldner, grandson, Ronnie Ferrante, granddaughter, Tina and husband Mauro Kennedy, grandson, John Ferrante and a special granddaughter Cheryl Sargero, nine great grandchildren, Daniel Pimienta, Lorenzo Ferrante, Hunter Kennedy, Kruz Kennedy, Brooklynn Kennedy, Ryan Waldner, Nicholas Sargero, in memorial Wyatt Sargero and Katie Waldner Morgan. Catholic funeral service will take place at 11:30am on Saturday, Dec. 20th at Christ the King Catholic Church located at 821 S Dale Mabry Hwy. Family will receive guest from 10am-11am at Blount & Curry – MacDill, 605 S. MacDill Ave on Saturday, Dec. 20th. Burial will follow at Myrtle Hill.
