Josiane Dworzanowski

DWORZANOWSKI, Josiane, entered into Eternal Life on January 30, 2018. She is survived by Gary, her beloved husband of 48 years; mother, Alice Theard; son, Gregory; daughter-in-law, Dorne; her cherished grandchildren, Zorie and Grant; brothers-in-law, Brian and Martin; and sisters-in-law, Diane Brenner, Daryl Cleveland, and Bonnie Michaud. Josie will also be sorely missed by many Bonnefil, Theard, Etheart, and Dworzanowski cousins.

Josie was born on October 21, 1947 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, the daughter of William and Alice (nee Etheart) Theard. After earning a degree in speech therapy from Marygrove College in Detroit, Josie and her family moved to Tampa in 1972, where she became a dedicated, respected, and truly beloved Special Education Speech and Language Therapist for almost four decades. She received numerous awards from the community and local schools including: Hillsborough County Teacher of the Year, Optimist Club of Greater Tampa Bay Educator of the Year, and Adult and Community Education Outstanding Educator.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 4PM to 7PM at Feather Sound Country Club, 2201 Feather Sound Dr, Clearwater, FL 33762.

Josie's family is developing a book scholarship program which will provide students who have overcome difficult personal challenges with funding to buy books for college. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to this fund. Details will be included in the Celebration of Life announcement.
