He was always happy and full of life, always a smile and a joke. In the short time I knew him he became my friend, that why the news of his passing hit me hard. My condolences to the Valzquez family. Juan was who my father(Robert Troy) would say was his very best friend in life. We are heartsick to learn of his passing. I will always remember him because of his kind heart and gentleness. Also I'll miss making GUMBO for him when he would come to Texas. I will now make it in his honor as he loved it so much.
