Julia Theresa Blake joined the love of her life, Al Pirre, in heaven on December 25, 2020 following many errors at TGH. She was born on March 11, 1931 in Stamford, CT to Mary and Dominic Ferrari and a Catholic. She graduated from Stamford High School and worked for both the State of Connecticut and Florida before retiring in 1998 to care for grandma.
Julie was an avid reader, interested in biographies and history. An an enthusiastic shopper, she enjoyed shopping for purses, jewelry, skin care/beauty products, and clothes for her fur- son Billy. She was a Pit Bull and watched him every New Year’s Eve. She most recently became a Tampa Bay Lightning fan, which she affectionally called “the Lightnings.” She loved the New Jersey and New York Housewives, and was addicted to her IPad. Her latest obsession was frozen Coca-Cola and occasionally, fireball on her ice cream.
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters Lisa Blake, Deborah Pirre, bonus daughters Jody Freeman-Leavitt, Dina Vila and fur- son Billy. Stacey and 3 grandchildren, Blake, Brandon and Max Quinones. Fur grandsons Tupac and Jakkson, who enjoyed breakfast with her every morning.
Special thank you to the brilliant Dr. Douglas Spriggs and Clearwater Cardiovascular for giving our mother so many more years of life. Your expertise, patience and commitment are second to none, and we are truly appreciative to have found you.
Her life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ. Often, she was too forgiving and kind. You will always be in our hearts, Mummsy.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
