Luis Alberto Gregory

Luis Alberto Gregory, a cherished soul born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on January 26, 1952, left this world on January 27, 2026, just a day after celebrating his 74th birthday. His journey began with the bittersweet loss of his twin, a sad reminder of how delicate life is. Luis, a beloved resident of Tampa, Florida, was called home by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, leaving behind a legacy of love and courage.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted daughter, Elenita Rosario, and his sons, Luis A. Gregory Jr. and Armando Gregory. He also leaves behind a special son-in-law, Eric Rosario, whom he cherished as his own. His heart overflowed with love for his grandchildren: Eric S. Rosario, Luis Rosario, Yesenia Rosario, Elyel Rosario, Aryanna Gregory, Arlani Gregory, Arcelia Gregory, Jocelyn Santos, Janellie Gregory, Jamil Gregory, and Janyiah Gregory. His siblings, Cheyenne Gregory and Margarita “Margie” Gregory, along with numerous nieces and nephews, will also carry his memory in their hearts.

Luis’s love for his family was boundless. His wife was his world, and his grandchildren were his joy. He was a fearless man, willing to do anything for those he loved. His passion for bike rides and his daily lotto ritual were just a few of the ways he embraced life. He treasured every moment spent playing basketball, football, and baseball with his grandchildren, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

In his final years, Luis found happiness in simple pleasures. He loved meeting new friends in his home, sharing countless cups of coffee and snacks, and enjoying Family Feud. His fun personality filled any room with laughter, leaving a lasting mark on all who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, Luis’s spirit lives on in the hearts of his family, a testament to a life lived with love and devotion.

A memorial service will be held at Blount & Curry Life Event Center, located at 605 S MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609, on February 3, 2026, at 6:00 pm. Following the memorial service, a gathering of family and friends will take place at the same location until 9:00 pm.
