

Charles, Margaret Mock, 99, of Tampa passed away on July 18, 2012. A loving wife, an exceptional caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will always be remembered as a woman of great faith who always had a kind word for everyone.
Mrs. Charles was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, James B. Charles, Jr. in 1997 and brothers, William, Ryan and Gene Mock.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary “Charlie” LaBarbera and husband Michael, her sons, James F. Charles and wife Holly, E. Ray Charles and wife Becky, all of Tampa and Michael J. Charles and wife Jane of Dunwoody, GA; ten grandchildren, Tracy LaBarbera Lisi and husband Joel, Michael LaBarbera and wife Sara, David Charles and wife Devin, Lauren Charles, Stephen Charles, Rebecca Charles Arrington and husband Stuart, Margaret Charles Packer and husband Mike, E. Ray Charles, Jr., Nicholas Charles and Laura Charles; great granddaughters Ava and Madeline LaBarbera and Louise Arrington; sister, Betty McGrady of Birmingham, AL, sister-in-law Lucille Mock of Sylvester, GA and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Charles was born in Albany, GA and was a resident of Tampa since 1949. She was a long time member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Circle 8, Christ the King Council of Catholic Women, Jesuit Tiger Lilies, and former member of The Catholic Women’s Club.
The family will receive friends at a visitation on Sunday July 22, 2012 from 5 to 7PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 N. Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa, FL. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church on Monday July 23, 2012 at 2PM, with burial to follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christ the King “Continuing the Vision” campaign or to Jesuit High School.
