Maria Martin Toledo

Maria was born on March 22, 1928 in Omaja, Cuba to Francisco Martin de San Blas and Juana Josefa Perez - Perez. She is survived by her two brothers Juan Martin, Omaja, Cuba, Rev. Aldo Martin, Orlando, Florida, sons Pedro (Pete) and David Toledo, grandchildren Daniel, Thomas, Wesley, Gabrielle and Shaina Toledo and great grandchildren Jason and Alexandra Toledo.

She graduated from Scarritt College in Nashville, Tennessee with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work in 1953 and used it to bless many in her ministry work alongside her pastor husband.

Her passion was Jesus and serving Him, in the mission fields of life as a pastor’s wife, and in the ministry of the church. Her world centered around her family, her home and teaching. In her younger years, she was an exceedingly disciplined student and was valedictorian in all schools she attended. Her academic excellence lifted her from very humble beginnings, to a richly blessed and productive life. She loved the arts and enjoyed participating in sports. Later in her ministry work, she was skilled enough musically as a pianist and singer to be the choral director in her church.

However, of all her blessed labors, by far the greatest legacy for her family and all who knew her, will always be the love, grace, forgiveness, and faith in the power and majesty of God in our lives.

Viewing will commence at 10 AM to 10:45 with service promptly following at 10:45 AM to 11:30 AM on Monday, June 6th, 2022 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, Oldsmar West Hillsborough Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Drive,Tampa, FL, 33635.

Interment will be approximately at 12:30 PM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 2860 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, FL 33759.

El martes 31 de mayo de 2022, María Martín Toledo, amada esposa del reverendo Reinaldo C. Toledo y madre de dos hijos, pasó a la eternidad y a los brazos de nuestro padre celestial. Tenía 94 años.

María nació el 22 de marzo de 1928 en Omaja, Cuba, a Francisco Martín de San Blas y Juana Josefa Pérez - Pérez. Le sobreviven sus hermanos Juan Martin, Omaja, Cuba, Rev. Aldo Martin, Orlando, Florida, hijos Pedro (Pete) y David Toledo, sus nietos Daniel, Thomas, Wesley, Gabrielle y Shaina Toledo y sus bisnietos Jason y Alexandra Toledo.

Se graduó de Scarritt College en Nashville, Tennessee con un bachillerato en Trabajo Social en 1953 el cual lo utilizó para bendecir a muchos en su trabajo ministerial en conjunto con su esposo pastor.

Su pasión era Jesús y servirle a Él en los campos de misión de la vida como esposa de pastor y en el ministerio de la iglesia. Su mundo se centraba en su familia, su hogar y la enseñanza. En sus años de juventud, fue una estudiante sumamente disciplinada y fue valedictorian de todas las escuelas a las que asistió. Su excelencia académica la llevó desde sus humildes comienzos a una vida ricamente bendecida y productiva. Amaba las artes y disfrutaba participando en deportes. Más tarde, en su trabajo ministerial, era lo suficientemente hábil musicalmente como pianista y cantante para ser la directora del coro en su iglesia.

Pero de todas sus benditas labores, superando ampliamente a todo, su mayor legado para su familia y todos los que la conocieron, será siempre el amor, la gracia, el perdón, y la fe en el poder y la majestad de Dios en nuestras vidas.

El velatorio comenzará a las 10:00 AM hasta las 10:45 AM y el servicio se celebrará de las 10:45 AM a las 11:30 AM el lunes, 6 de junio de 2022, en Blount & Curry Funeral Home, Oldsmar West Hillsborough Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Drive, Tampa, FL, 33635.

El entierro será aproximadamente a las 12:30 PM en Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 2860 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, FL 33759.
