Mariana Serrano-Rivera, age 91, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on August 29, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Manatí, Puerto Rico, Mariana was the cherished daughter of Dolores Rivera and Angel Serrano. She built a life rooted in love, resilience, and devotion to family. Mariana married Claudio Lopez, and together they created great memories.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughters Nilda Rilova and Elena Maria Garcia, grandson Edwin Gonzalez, brother Roberto Serrano, sister Aida Serrano, and her devoted husband Claudio Lopez.
Mariana leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: Sons Luis Garcia and Jose Antonio Medina, sister Elba Serrano, and grandchildren Hector Adorno, Angel Troche, Ivan Echevarria, Luis Garcia, Oscar Gonzalez, Saul Garcia, Joel Garcia, and Alejandro Gonzalez. Her life was further blessed by 29 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren, each a testament to the enduring strength of her spirit.
Pallbearers will be her beloved grandchildren, honoring her with the same love and care she gave them throughout her life.
A visitation will be held on September 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service to honor and celebrate Mariana’s life.
Mariana will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens, where she will be reunited with those who went before her.
Her warmth and unwavering love will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
