Dearest family- Know that today your most loving faithful mother who spread such joy,  laughter & strong Catholic faith amoungst all who knew her is remembered in our everyday prayers as well each of you. With a heavy heart but one knowing she (along with your father & siblings) are in heaven in eternal life & peace. They are all together in song, joy & laughter. I can hear that "Paleveda chuckle" & know they are enjoying the view of a magnificent 🌈 rainbow & praying for each of you. Not one day goes by that you are not in my thoughts, memories, stories & especially the prayers you taught me when I was very little girl/niece "Honey Girl"(bedtime prayers when sleeping over.. Devotion of the Drops of Blood lost by Our Lord Jesus Christ on His way to Calvary- 2 Our Father's, 2 Hail Mary's & 2 Glory Be's.) To all the faithful who recite for 3 years in honor of the drops of blood I lost, I will concede the 5 graces. I have said those prayers every night since the first night you taught them to me & I will continue. Thank you St. Marie as we refer to you. We know you are singing in heaven & praying for all of us. That beautiful bird was an Indigo Bunting.

You came to me recently as a sign that you are still lifting each & every member of our family up in prayer by name. A most magnificent blue jay of extraordinary bold & unparalleled color recently flew onto a branch of my neighbor's tree as I went to check my mail. I was in enormous pain & crying when the bird so gracefully fluttered by landing on branch of the tree. The bird stayed and was looking right at me & stayed. I was so taken by the unusual bold color that I knew it was a sign. Thinking it was a sign by Joseph. (his gorgeous blue eyes) & my DeDe acknowledging my pain & suffering.  I knew they were trying to lift me up. With that being said YOU always lifted each family member in prayer by name. Something you passed on to me.  It was you praying for me. It was you stead fastly looking at me . I know you are still praying for all of us & lifting us each up by name. Your love & tender loving sweet ways & kind gentle compassionate heart & devotion to our faith will remain with us forever. Sing sing sing in paradise surrounded by all that is magnificent. We all cherish your special ways. Thank you Aunt Marie for all the special ways you have endowed upon each of us. You are our Guardian Angel. Carroll Anne

Dearest family, Everyone who knew Aunt Marie was especially touched by her. She had a presence that was like no other. She made everyone feel so special and loved. I absolutely adored her & the impact she had on my entire life.  She taught me things that have remained with me to this very day & will continue for the remainder of my life.  She was my O'Momma & I was her Honey Girl. I am so proud that she was my aunt & so much more. I will miss everything about her. I am a better Catholic due to her influences & belief in the power of prayer. She was an extraordinary child of God & Our Most Holy Mother Mary. She is free at last. Knowing she has been reunited with family that has gone before us & in paradise brings me peace. She is our Guardian Angel. With my heartfelt condolences to all her children & large extended family. Dear Members of the Palaveda Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Marie's passing away. She was a lovely,  spiritual lady. I remember the many times we sat in the chapel to say the daily rosary with the morning prayer group. She was so devoted to our Blessed Mother.  There must have 
been much joy and gladness among the saints as they transferred her from Earth to Heaven to 
be amongst  their midst.  Dear Marie, enjoy your

Blessed Aunt Marie!!! She was like a saint, certainly loved by all. Always looking out for our needs, ever-caring, ready to discuss anything, and always had a sympathetic ear. Title of aunt aside, you knew she was really your friend. Obviously, she was an extremely devoted Catholic. 
     In 2006,  I had an opportunity to return to Tampa for a year until my father died. At which time, I visited Aunt Marie on Hawthorne Street many times in the very early evenings. It was there and then, I discovered an important aspect of Aunt Marie’s life. Aunt Marie had a keen interest and a developed knowledge of Political Science and History. I was amazed at what she knew about these topics! Oh boy did she still have her faculties about her at this time! She was truly remarkable and amazing! I just never knew.  This is why these important interests of Aunt Marie’s life should not go unnoticed. Because it is an important aspect of her biography, which should be included in a brief biographical sketch. She had additional interests.  She was also a part-time scholar! I love ❤️ you Aunt Marie, my friend!!! Thank you for all the memories!!!!!!! Aunt Marie was a deeply Spiritual and amazing woman. She attended 8:30 am Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church, and my sons and I used to talk to her when I dropped them off at the Parish school. Her calm and loving nature was always reassuring and inspirational as she told us that God would always protect us each and every day of our lives. Your gentle soul will be missed but never forgotten. 


Aunt Marie was always so sweet and kind. I loved her so much. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family and friends. God gained an angel.

I remember speaking to Aunt Marie after she had taken a trip to Ireland. She told me that the players in a soccer match she had watched had great legs! She was a warm, kind lady with a great sense of humor and a wonderful laugh. I hope that all the good memories help to comfort your family at this time.

You were a wonderful mother, and great example of true Christianity.   A gentle soul with great strength.   You always took care of others, putting others need ahead of your own desires.   I am honored to call you my mom .   You will be missed and loved forever. 

Mom, I always loved the way you gave Charlie a hug and said, "I could hug you and never let go."  Mom, now you can hug Charlie as long as you want. I will miss your sweet smile. I will remember all the weekends you and Steve would come out and we would all have food and loved one another. You were the BEST mother-in-law I could have asked for. Until we meet again. All you needed was a set of wings. You are and were such an angel of a person. John 3:16. I love you, Mom.

She is survived by her siblings: Carroll Kilgore (Ronnie), Lucille Kato, James Relihan and Oscar Relihan: her sisters-in-law Anna Mary Engle, Magdalen Sultenfuss, and Ethel Cushen: her children Marie Koehler (David), James Paleveda (Mary Ann), Francis Paleveda, Elizabeth Burda (William), Susan Hernandez (Jose) and daughter-in-law Michaela Paleveda: nine grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
