Molly Joyce Evans LoPresti

Our beloved mother, Molly Joyce Evans LoPresti, died suddenly on September 7, 2024, at the age of 91. She was born February 23, 1933 in Birmingham, England to the late James William Evans and Rachel Eva Jones Evans. She had 2 sisters, Carol Evans Dodd (deceased), and Iris Evans Etherton (deceased), and is survived by her brother James Evans, who resides in Totnes, England.

Molly was married to the late Thomas LoPresti, USAF Retired. They raised three children, Josephine (Joann), Nicholas (Nick), and Kim, to be independent and thoughtful adults. She had 5 grandchildren, Brian James McKay, James Winslow LoPresti, Christopher Scott McKay, Rayn Thomas Johnson, and Andrew Nicholas LoPresti. She had 10 great-grandchildren.

Mom was lively, independent, and active all her life, and always true to her British roots. She brought a smile to everyone she met with her great sense of humor and kind heart. She was the General Manager of the iconic Colonnade Restaurant on Bayshore Blvd from approximately 1978 until 1993. She was the heart and soul of our family, and she will be dearly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, 605 S MacDill Ave, Tampa FL 33609, beginning at 2 pm with light refreshments and beverages following the service, including time for reflection.

She will be greatly missed by family and friends, and she will want all of us to raise a glass in celebration in her honor.
