Nereida Martinez Travieso

Nereida Martinez Travieso, born in Tampa, Florida on February 7, 1967, passed away on February 4, 2026. Nereida was the daughter of Asela Martinez Travieso and the late Rigoberto Martinez. One of four children, she grew up in a close-knit family and had lived in Tampa, Florida her entire life.

Nereida was a cherished soul who brought immense joy and light to everyone she encountered. A woman of unwavering faith and hope, Nereida's positive spirit was a comfort and inspiration. She was the radiant center of every family gathering and was deeply loved by her family and friends. Nereida had a unique ability to make a lasting mark on every heart, consistently holding positive thoughts and prayers for everyone.

Nereida is survived by her loving mother, Asela, siblings Maria Mercedes “Mercy”, Rigoberto “Rigo”, and Christian, nieces, Zoe, Layla and Chloe, nephew, Curt, grand-niece, Olivia, aunt, Maria Elena, uncles, Lazaro and Carlos, and numerous cousins and extended family.

Nereida will have a graveside service at Garden of Memories, at 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa FL 33610 on February 12th at 1:00 PM.
