Patricia “Patsye” Ann King, 88, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Patsye was born on August 18, 1937, in Lakeland, Florida, to Arthur Dewey Bowden and Idelle Mabel Bowden. She graduated from Lakeland High School in 1956 and married the love of her life, Henry Giddens King, on February 28, 1957.

Patsye is survived by her children: James Edward King of St. Petersburg, Florida; Patricia King Sieg of Newberry, Florida; and David Moore King of Tampa, Florida. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Keenan King Sieg of Amsterdam, Netherlands; Ashley Ann Sieg of Mosheim, Tennessee; and David Giddens Sieg of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Patsye will be remembered by her children and loved ones for her heartfelt devotion to family and friends and for her friendly, sassy Southern sense of humor. She approached everything in life with natural enthusiasm and warmth.

She had many passions and talents. Patsye loved growing orchids, cooking, and baking, and she was an expert at sewing and needlepoint. She also enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends. Patsye and her husband, Giddens, spent ten wonderful years living in Grand Cayman, where they embraced the island’s people, natural beauty, seafood, and strong sense of community.

Patsye loved the sunshine, the beach, and time spent boating on the water. She was deeply committed to volunteer work and community involvement throughout her life. She was an active member of the Junior League of Lakeland and Tampa, a member of PEO, the Cayman Island Orchid Society, and the International Ladies Club of Grand Cayman. While living in the Cayman Islands, she also volunteered at the Humane Society and served as a “Pink Lady” at the Grand Cayman Hospital.

Patsye will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, humor, and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her legacy lives on through the family and friends who cherished her.
