Mrs. Peggy McEniry

McEniry, Peggy Middleton, was born August 31, 1923 and passed away on August 28, 2014. She is predeceased by her 1st husband James R. Wackerman, 2nd husband Charles A. McEniry, and sister Rachael M. Moss. She is survived by her niece Nancy S. Pent (William), nephew Father Robert T. Schriber (Carol), nephew Dr. Floyd S. Gonder (Inez), stepsons Charles McEniry (Gillian), Michael McEniry (Nancy), James McEniry (Diane), and numerous grand nieces and nephews, and step grandchildren. She attended the Academy of the Holy Names and began her 45 year career at Lykes Brothers, Inc. as a secretary at age 17, retiring as a corporate officer. She was a resident of Canterbury Tower where all residents and staff were her friends. She loved to participate in all of their activities. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club, and was treasurer of the volunteer group Friends of Canterbury Health Center. Many thanks to all of the staff of Canterbury Health Center for their devoted and loving care. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Canterbury Tower in the social room on September 6, 2014 from 1-2 p.m. Donations may be made in her name to Friends of Canterbury Health Center, attention Ann Breen.
