

“Bobby or Bob”, 67, peacefully entered into rest on Sept 3, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father Etelvino “Kiki” Alvarez and is survived by his mother Ofelia Sierra Alvarez; sons Jason (Susan) and Brian (Brianna); grandsons Alex, Nicholas, Andrew, and Anthony; sisters Darlene Leavines (Robert) and Linda Oakes (John); as well as nieces and nephews; and loving companion Wanda Frontado. He was blessed with many loving cousins and wonderful friends. He was born on January 11, 1949 in Ybor City. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Tampa. He was a successful salesman for many years and accomplished a lifelong dream of owning his own restaurant with his son Brian. He had a personality like no other, and a smile that could light up a room. He will always be remembered for his charming ways, blue eyes and love of Gator Football. “You fought the good fight, you have finished the race”. Visitation will be held from 5pm-7pm Monday, Sept. 12, with memorial service 7pm- 8pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home 7209 N. Dale Mabry Hwy. Tampa.
