CHILDS, Robert F. "Bob", retired Army Lt. Colonel ,93, of Tampa passed into the arms of his heavenly Father on Jan.22, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Del; his two daughters, Kathy (Joseph) Leonard and Christine Elsner; daughter-in-law Janis Childs; sister Irene Meyers; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Doug. A Memorial Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Feb. 16th at 2:30 pm. Family will receive friends one hour prior. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Charity of Choice.
