Roderick "Dale" Kauffman

Dale Kauffman passed away peacefully at home in Tampa, FL on 3/21/26. Anyone who knew Dale would describe him as always smiling, spreading joy and kindness, and loving life. He was a proud Army veteran and was fondly known as Pops or Papa by his 3 grandkids, Megan, Joey, and Ty and was dad to his daughters, Kelly and Tammi. Dale was a lover of the ukulele and made his mark on the music world with his band "Still in Tune" with his wife of 62 years, Dena, and their dear friends in Simi Valley, CA. Dale could find the positive in any situation and lived life to its fullest. Whether he was cruising to Alaska, watching spring training baseball games, playing in the band, wine tasting with family and friends, or just hanging at home, he exuded joy. And while he will be missed so much by all of us, we know he is in a better place and his spirit will live on in every life he touched.

A Celebration of Dale's Life will be held at The Hageman Family home, 4701 W. Lamb Avenue, Tampa, 33629 on May 1st at 5pm. We would love to have you join us for drinks and light appetizers, while we reminisce together on a life that was so well lived and one that left a legacy of love.

Dale will be laid to rest privately at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
