

He was born in Brevard, NC on September 13, 1939 to the late Ralph and Idell McCall. Roland was married to Bea McCall (Miller) on April 23, 1988. They were married 26 years.
Roland honorably served in the United States Marine Corps until he was medically discharged, following a helicopter crash in Vietnam. Roland went on to work for and retire from the State of Florida, Department of Corrections. He loved playing cards, watching the Gators and Tampa Bay Bucs, and spending time with his family. He also loved cooking. He was well known for his delicious spaghetti and meatballs and mouth-watering chocolate pecan pie.
Roland will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend Bea McCall; his daughters Katie Harbin, Teresa Gay, Melissa Oberling, Stephanie Mathews, and Crystal Stiltner; his grandchildren Michael Gay, Chance Harbin, Jessica Weatherbee, Robert Mathews III (Trey), Reagan Oberling, and Savannah Mathews; his sisters Lora Mae MacPherson and Joyce Elaine Davenport; and his brother Kenneth McCall. Roland will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Roland was preceded in death by his parents Idell and Ralph McCall, his brother Hampton McCall, and his sister Gladys McCall.
Roland was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all.
The memorial service will be held at 10:30am, November 18, 2014 at Crosspointe Church (919 Debuel Rd, Lutz, FL 33549).
