Ruth Ann Undorf

Born in Racine, Wisconsin on November 11, 1939. She was the eldest daughter of the late Robert F and Ruth Ella Hazel (Dargin) Gosline. Ruth Ann graduated from Washington Park High School in Racine, and went to X-Ray Technician School in Milwaukee, Wis. She worked in hospitals, in Dr. Azer’s orthopedic practice, in Washington, D.C. and established the X-Ray wing on the American Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, 1984-1985.

Ruth Ann was wed to Robert Walter Undorf on February 18, 1961 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, Racine. During their 64 years of marriage, she lived and traveled to many countries and places, including Sacramento, CA, Philippines, Alamogordo, NM, Pakistan, Belgium, Mexico and many more US and world destinations. She had a love of adventure and travel and was honored to be married to a US Air Force Fighter Pilot that allowed this long and rich history. This encompassed meeting Presidents of countries, international diplomats, and even enjoying dinners with her husband and them. Ruth Ann had a passion for cooking, hosting and attending to all the details, that would even keep her up at night, because she wanted to make sure everything was perfect. She developed this affinity early at her parents’ Restaurant and Bar, Lee Dolf’s, 1814 Sixteenth St, Racine. She also enjoyed decorating and often would rearrange the entire house by herself, while the kids were attending school. She loved the ocean, plants, babies, crossword puzzles, animals, and most especially the Lord. Ruth Ann was a devout Roman Catholic parishioner at Christ The King, Tampa, never missing Sunday Mass, where she would sing every word of praise, with her entire soul.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Undorf, daughters Cindy Bellini (Dr. Roberto Bellini) grandchildren Leah Garcia Smith (Scott Smith) great grandchildren Avery and Ashton, Dr. Alyssa Bellini and Daniela Bellini, Carolyn Lastoria (Brian Lastoria) grandchildren Madison Himel (Blake Russell) great grandchildren Addison, Brynlee, and Sutton, Mackenzie Himel (fiancée Reece Budd) and Mikayla Lastoria, Robert Undorf II (Lisa) granddaughters Sloan and Ansley, Jeffrey Undorf grandson Jeffrey Undorf, Jr and Christina Loftis (Rich) granddaughters Hailey (Baker) Loy, Delaney and Caitlin.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Pamela Gosline Zerzanek.

Ruth Ann’s service will be held at Blount and Curry Life Event Center, Swan Ave, Tampa on Saturday, December 13 at 11AM. Please consider Dementia Society of America for donations, or the VA.
