Words can't correctly express how much Sarah means to me. I just found out a couple days ago through a mutual friend of her passing and am devastated. Me and Sarah's friendship was so unique and special. Though we had our ups and downs, we always came back to each other and treasured each other's friendship. She was there for me during my toughest times and I wish I could have been a better person for her much sooner than I did. She was the only person I had to share in the spiritual and crazy thoughts and feelings with. We made each other feel less crazy about things and had so much in common that we called each other twinny. Her art and story 'Lost Ground' was so incredibly special to her. She put her whole heart and soul into those characters and I really wish the world could have seen it all. When she felt something, she felt it with her entirety. She was a passionate, burning flame, always fighting her way through life. She was the strongest person I knew, even if she didn't agree. When she and I parted ways a couple years ago, something in my heart knew it might be the last time, but I didn't want to hold back her healing. Her happiness. I love and miss her so much all the time. I never once forgot about her and I never will. My sincerest condolences to the rest of her family and friends. I will continue to honor and remember my twinny my whole life in everything I do. 

I'm so sad to hear this news about Sarah. She and I cosplayed together several years ago, as characters from Higurashi specifically. We cosplayed Shion and Mion together, as well as Hanyuu. She let me borrow her Mion costume and I gave her my Hanyuu costume. She is actually wearing it in some of the memorial pictures. She was always fun to be around and had such a fiery personality. She *TRIED* to teach me how to sew my own cosplays once and invited me over to her and her mom's townhown for a few days many many years ago. They were so hospitable and we spent those few days sewing and watching anime together. I had rode my motorcycle over and got a flat and they were so kind to store if for me before I could get it sent back to Orlando. She was a wonderful person. I don't know what compelled me to google her tonight. I thought of her often and would look for her on Facebook to no avail but never googled her until now. I have met very few people with the amount of passion this woman contained in her fiery little body. So much love, especially for her little boy Chibi and her sweet Carebear. We had many turbulent times, but we had so many more good times together i will absolutely never forget. Such a beautiful, artistic, wonderful soul she was. The world was blessed to have ever had her walk upon it.

Sarah had been such a close friend to me over the brief time we knew each other. Working on skits and projects together for Japanese had made the class so fun and going forward the course isnt going to feel the same without her there. She was truly someone who knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to say what was on her mind. She was one of my closest friends and it's going to be heartbreaking having to move on with out her there to go along for the ride. Sarah, you will always be my 先輩

Sarah was a irreplaceable part of our Japanese Language class at USF. Her energy and character brought the whole class to a level impossible without her. She never held back, she let people know what she thought, and wasn't afraid to protect her friends in conversations she overheard. It was my honor to learn alongside her.
